Q: I want to subscribe for a Threads + HubSpot plan but how much data I will need?
A: The Threads + HubSpot ongoing subscription plan is suitable for HubSpot customer’s that wish to log emails in the HubSpot CRM on an ongoing basis.
One of the key features of our monthly subscription plans is that it includes an unlimited number of users. The only limit is on the amount of data that can be stored in Threads.
This means that each time a user joins or leaves your business, you don’t need to worry about paying for an additional user.
However you will need to keep an eye on the amount of data that you use. Whilst it is vital that you have enough, equally you don’t want to be paying for more than you actually use.
Factors affecting storage use
There are a number of factors that will influence how much data you use:
- How many email accounts you link to your Threads account
- How much historic data (if any) you wish to import
- Whether you regularly send large attachments or images with your data. For example, architectural drawings or videos.
A helping hand from Threads
Even if you think that you might have a lot of data to store, Threads intelligently de-duplicates your emails.
De-duplication is process whereby Threads removes copies of emails and reduces the overall amount of storage required.
For example, if multiple teams members each have a copy of an email, Threads will ensure that it only appears once in Hubspot. This means that the email uses less storage space.
How much data does an average email user create each year?
This is another frequently asked question. The average business user sends and receives 126 emails per day. Because of the variables, it is difficult to know how much data individuals create each year, however our rule of thumb is to budget 0.25 GB per user per year.
The Threads + HubSpot subscription plans start at 25GB which provides enough storage for 100 team members per year. Or 20 team members for 5 years.
